The Miniature and Small Repeating Crossbows are sized-down versions of the standard Repeating Crossbow that can more easily be used for two-weapon fighting.

Crossbow, Miniature Repeating

A miniature repeating crossbow is an automated version of a hand crossbow. It holds five crossbow bolts. While it holds bolts, you can shoot the crossbow according to your normal number of attacks without reloading. Loading a new case of five bolts is a move-equivalent action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
A Small or larger character can shoot and load a miniature repeating crossbow with one hand. A Tiny character can shoot, but not reload, a miniature repeating crossbow with one hand at a penalty of -4. A Small or larger character can shoot a miniature repeating crossbow with each hand, applying the rules for attacking with two weapons as normal. However, due to its small size, the weapon functions as if benefiting from the Two-Weapon Fighting feat*. Having the Two-Weapon Fighting feat does not reduce the penalty with respect to this weapon any further. Note that if you fight with two ranged weapons and only one is a miniature repeating crossbow, the other weapon still receives the normal penalties for fighting with two weapons (and can benefit from the Two-Weapon Fighting feat).

A clip of five bolts for a miniature repeating crossbow costs 1 gp and weighs 1 lb.

Category: Exotic Weapons - Ranged; (D&D 3.0: Size: Tiny;) Cost: 300 gp; Damage: 1d4; Critical: 19-20/x2; Range Increment: 30 ft.; Weight: 5 lb.; Type: Piercing.

Crossbow, Small Repeating

A small repeating crossbow is an automated version of the light crossbow. It holds five crossbow bolts. While it holds bolts, you can shoot the crossbow according to your normal number of attacks without reloading. Loading a new case of five bolts is a move-equivalent action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
A Small or larger character can shoot, but not load a small repeating crossbow with one hand at a -4 penalty. A Small or larger character can shoot a small repeating crossbow with each hand (for Edition 3.5: including using the reloading lever), applying the rules for attacking with two weapons as normal*.

A clip of five bolts for a small repeating crossbow costs 1 gp and weighs 1 lb.

Category: Exotic Weapons - Ranged; (D&D 3.0: Size: Small;) Cost: 235 gp; Damage: 1d6; Critical: 19-20/x2; Range Increment: 60 ft.; Weight: 9 lb.; Type: Piercing.

* NOTE that in D&D Edition 3.0 the feat Two-Weapon Fighting normally applies to melee weapons only. In order to receive the benefits of this feat for fighting with two crossbows, the feat will need to be taken specifically keyed at ranged weapons (unless your game master rules otherwise).
