A long lost book said to hold vast power.

This Book is capable of casting Trap the Soul twice per day (Will DC 22 negates). It can hold up to 10 souls, up to a maximum of 100 hit dice (the book is treated as a 100,000 gp opal with respect to the gem that is normally required, but it is not destroyed when attempting to trap a soul that has too many HD). These souls can be use to fuel the book's powers or they will "feed" the book over the course of 3 days. If the book has consumed less than 10 souls in a month, it turns on the person wielding it.

Each HD of a trapped soul is one charge. The book has three powers:
Increase ability score: One power is that you can increase any abillty score (max. +20) for an hour by trading in charges on a 1 for 1 basis.
Spellcasting: Another power is that you can cast any spell, using a base cost of 2 charges per spell level. One additional charge is expended for every 1000 gp worth of material components, and one charge for every 200 XP cost. This power permits Arcane spells, Divine spells, and Psionic Powers.
Awaken: Its final power costs no charges. It can awaken powers and ancients, from being turned mortal or bound.
